Static Images I’ve been on the prowl for several years now for the perfect solution to bridge that communication gap between designers and developers. I’m a “graphic” (read: print) designer turned web designer turned UX designer. Like many print-turned-web designers, I started with Photoshop as my primary communication tool. My first hand-off to developers involved static images made in Photoshop thrown over the fence with crossed fingers that a decent-looking screen would come out alive.

Building Microservice Architectures His talk, Building Microservice Architectures, describes this architectural style, as exemplified by Netflix and Amazon, as the first post-DevOps revolution architecture. Ford describes the larger context, what problem is being solved, characteristics of microservice architectures, and engineering best practices.

On August 14th, Javier Lozano (@jglozano) gave a demo and led a discussion on “Scaling an Application on the Cloud.” Cloud hosting is an important topic in the entrepreneurial community given the drive to be scalable quickly without the initial cost and maintenance of expensive infrastructure, just one of the many technology decisions that teams will make along the life-cycle of their product and company.

Aviture has been added as key teammate to the Agile Cyber Technologies (ACT) contract managed by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). The contract will support rapid research, development, prototyping, demonstration, evaluation, and transition of cyber solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD).
